- Arthritis or degenerative Joint disease (DJD)
- Poor performance - agility, flyball, working animals
- Disc disease
- Post-operative following joint surgeries - hips, stifles, elbows etc.
- Post-operative following spinal surgeries
- Neurological diseases - Fibrocartilagenous Embolism (FCE), Chronic Degenerative Radiculomyopathy (CDRM), paralysis, lumbosacral disease, etc.
- Dysplasia - hips, elbows
- Reduced function - of any sort
- Routine checks - to ensure good physical fitness i.e. pre, mid or post season
